How to get to Breda ?

By car

By train

By plane
Breda is directly accessible by car and by train because there is a train station.
But there isn't airport, so it's necessary to take a flight to Amsterdam or Rotterdam and travel to Breda by coach or train.

We chose to get to Breda by car because it's more practical for us. And we want to have a car to move around the country.

This is our itinerary from Angers to Breda by car.

Public transport

Breda has an efficient network of public transportation. The PT Smartcard (OV-Chipkaart) aims to be the only way to pay for public transport in the Netherlands.

However, cycling is the best mode of transportation in Breda. Everybody is riding a bike.

In Breda there is a lot of campus for foreign students. For exemple easystreet campus is one of the famous campus in Breda. In fact, there are 120 rooms of studios for 200 students from all over the world.

To find a roommate, it is also possible to go on facebook. Indeed, there is a groupe where students, who leave Breda, post a message to suggest to take their room. It allows to find easily a room.

It is also possible to get in touch with Avans university. In fact, the university can find an accommodation if there is a room available.

Unfortunately, for the moment we still have no accommodation. It can be explain by the fact that we stay at Breda only for 3 months. People who rent their room look for students who are going to stay for miminum 6 months. Moreover, the university have no room available, all rooms are reserved.
