Hi everybody!
With Fabien and the other french guys we went to Rotterdam. The weather forecast was perfect, hot an sunny. After 40 minutes from Breda to Rotterdam by train we finally arrived. The first step was to find a map so we bought for 2 euros a map at the train station.
We decided to walk towards the south of the city, direction the port. During the way, we saw that Rotterdam is a city with a lot of shopping shops but what the most impressed us was the architecture. Indeed, one of the icons of the city are the cubic houses. The houses located in the center were tilted at 45 degrees. We also saw the Erasmus bridge which is very impressive. In fact, the bridge is 800 meters long and has a 139 meter high. More over, we saw the Euromast which is the Rotterdam’s highest building with a high of 189 meters which permit to have a 360° view over Rotterdam and its surroundings.
On the way, we saw the Rotterdam’s market hall, the interior is beautiful due to the huge colourful panels on the walls. Finnally, we saw the port of Rotterdam which is the largest port in Europe. At the end of the day, we made a pub crawl in order to see the rotterdam’s night life.
